Who We Are
Vera & Vale is led by a first-class criminology graduate, published domestic abuse researcher, and former Metropolitan Police officer with experience in evidence gathering, intelligence work, and victim safeguarding.
Our founder’s background in criminology and operational policing forms the backbone of the agency’s approach: logical, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and ethically grounded.
After gaining experience with a UK based private investigation company, she founded Vera & Vale to offer a more modern, client-centred, academically informed alternative to the traditional PI model.
Today, Vera & Vale operates as a network of highly skilled ex-police specialists — including surveillance operatives, intelligence analysts, behavioural and body-language detection experts, and digital research professionals. Every member of our team brings real investigative experience and a commitment to professional integrity.

Meet the Founder
Our founder is a first-class criminology and social policy graduate from Loughborough University, a former Metropolitan Police officer, and a published author specialising in domestic abuse and coercive control. Known for her detail-driven investigative approach and her strong ethical standards, she brings a rare blend of academic insight and operational policing experience to the private investigation sector.
Her early work focused on recognising patterns of coercive control, victim safeguarding, and behavioural risk assessment — areas that continue to shape her investigative practice today. Her research on domestic abuse has been published and referenced academically, contributing to a deeper understanding of hidden forms of victimisation.
After leaving policing, she gained further specialist experience at a leading UK based private investigation company, developing skills in surveillance, intelligence analysis, OSINT, digital investigations, and complex case management. Her work during this time highlighted a growing need: a modern investigative service that combined policing-level professionalism with a more supportive, client-centred approach.
This led to the creation of Vera & Vale.
Today, she leads a team of ex-police and intelligence specialists, working across two key areas — traditional private investigations, and protective intelligence for influencers, digital creators, executives, and public-facing individuals. Her experience in the influencer and PR ecosystem, combined with her policing background, uniquely positions her to understand the risks faced by modern public figures.
